Pearly Queen…DIY Scattered Pearl Jeans

I have been lusting over Tu Es Mon Tresor’s Pearl embellished jeans for months but couldn’t justify the £600 plus price tag!

So why not make them myself for faction of the price??

Pearls and denim making my perfect combo. I needed them in my life… hello DYI project!

All you need:

Needle and White thread

A marker Pen

Drilled Pearls (I went to Primark and bought a pearl bracelet set for £3)

Pair of Mom jeans ( Mine are from Topshop)

Start by laying your jeans flat and laying out the pearls in a pattern of your choice. Take a marker pen and make tiny marks under each pearl.

Thread the needle with thread (first make sure the needle is thin enough to go through the drilled pearls). Reach your hand inside the jean leg and push the needle, from inside, out of one of the pen marks. Thread a pearl onto the needle.

Pull the needle and thread through and then back into the denim, right next to the first hole.

Bring the needle back through the denim, through the pearl, and back through that second hole. Do this two more times. When the needle comes out of the denim the fourth time, wrap the thread three times around the base of the pearl.

This will help secure the pearl to the denim. Bring the needle back into the denim.

Tie into a double knot and trim.

Repeat until the entire front side of the jeans are covered in pearls!
